Verena's Philosopy

  • Exercise is not just important as part of injury rehabilitation but is also a key to injury prevention, mental health and wellbeing.

  • And, similarly, our physical and mental well-being are key to a successful recovery.

Verena's Story

Verena is a CORU Physiotherapist who holds a BSc in Applied Health Science and Diploma in Physical Therapy. MSK Physiotherapy is a second career for Verena who was looking for a new challenge and to step into a more people-centred role that focuses on well-being and movement therapy.

Verena is also certified in in dry needling as well as NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) Level 1. NKT follows a unique protocol to identify muscle imbalances and faulty movement patterns. This unique approach to injury and pain management utilizes specific treatment and corrective exercise techniques to reprogram movement patterns that no longer serve you.

To further her interest in building strong and resilient bodies she completed her Nutrition, Personal Trainer and Group-fitness Instructor certification in 2023 with NTC.

Verena is greatly interested in restoring functional movement and building strength for longevity. She follows a holistic approach to pain and injury management as the original patient complaint or site of pain is rarely the source of the issue. Verena has a special interest in treating muscle pain and stiffness, poor posture and sports injuries. Through a detailed patient history and movement assessment, Verena will develop a tailored rehab programme for her patients complimented by hands on treatment and dry needling.

Verena is in constant pursuit of new techniques and approaches to help her clients achieve what she has achieved for herself, pain-free functional movement. She has a huge passion for exercise and physical well-being.

In her spare time, Verena enjoys hiking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and strength and conditioning training in the gym.
