Daragh's Philosophy

  • My own experience with injuries makes me more passionate and dedicated to making people better for longer.

  • It's so important to me to give clients reassurance they are on the correct path with someone who genuinely cares.

Daragh's Story

Daragh is a former competitive rugby player who has had his fair share of injuries while playing with Leinster youths and at sub-academy level. These injuries brought an end to Daragh playing rugby at a high level, but led him down a pathway of understanding injuries, why they occur, and more effective ways to treat and prevent them.

Daragh began his journey to becoming a Certified Athletic Therapist by completing a two-year Level 6 Sports Therapy course. He followed this up with a 4-year degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy and in South East Technological University. His experience includes working with senior football players in St. Pats CYFC and with the youth teams in Shamrock Rovers academy. This introduced Daragh to pitch-side acute care for injured athletes, and assessing, diagnosing and rehabilitating players through their injuries to ensure they are ready to take part in their sport again.

Daragh compliments his athletic therapy and sporting background with more than 5 years working in the fitness industry. He has programmed and coached classes of all kinds, working in a commercial gym for 4 years and a private gym for over a year before coming to Physio Strength Therapy.

Daragh is passionate about improving people’s daily lives - athletes and non-athletes alike - by decreasing their pain & symptoms, increasing their mobility and bettering their function.
